First Anniversary

Today is exactly a year since I got Gulliver. On November 26, 2008 it was the night before Thanksgiving last year. Connor was only 18 months old then and Ashley was still an infant. It was mad house then. We had a lot of cleaning that night. But ironically my mom was on craigslist and finds this horse for sale. She e-mails the people who are selling it. It turns out that it's at the Morningstar Boys' Ranch, a facility for troubled boys. My mom comes home from work and says "Let's go look at the horse." I was thinking "Are you serious? Do you want to take to look at a horse the very night before Thanksgiving when we had a lot of cleaning to do?" I was really looking for a horse then so I gave in and said "Let's go!". So we drive out to the ranch in the dark. When I got there and saw Gulliver I felt an instant connection with him. I climbed up on him to try him out and felt an unusual change. For the first time since my riding accident and owning Caulder I didn't feel scared or shaky. On our other horses I felt scared and shaky when I rode them. I circled him around the round pen for a few minutes. Then I got off of him and said to my mom, "He's coming home with us." Mom agreed then and we bought him. We went and picked him up the day after Thanksgiving. All this summer I had a blast with him. We took him to a parade, went on trail rides, and went to the beach. The pics that you see here are the cool stuff I did with him this summer.

Fall pics

Another great fall day. It's Halloween and I was out riding my horse have a wonderful time. I thought I would post and share a few pics. We gave my little nephew a ride on our pony that we have. I love riding in the fall. Especially on a glorious day like today. Well here are the pics of me on Gulliver and my little nephew on our pony, Lilly.

First Post

I'm a 16-year-old girl who just created her own blog. I'm currently a junior in high school and been shopping for a car lately. As soon as that's done then I'll get my driver's license which shouldn't be too long. I have this 13-year-old Quarter Horse gelding who is just my dream horse right now. We have a total six horses right now. Well four horses and 2 ponies. Here's a pic of him. The picture is me with Gulliver at the 2009 Spokane Interstate fair.
